Following the commission decided to change to headquarter at Patna and it shifted from the year of 1951. Shri Rajandhari Sinha was the first chairman of The Bihar Public Service Commission.
The Bihar Public Service Commission board setup from the year of 1st April, 1949. This committee came into from the existing commission for the Separation of country of Odisha along with the state of Madhya Pradesh, with sub-section (1) of section 261 of the Government of India Act 1935. The Bihar Public Service Commission is a constitutional body under Article amount 315 of the Constitution of the India. Following the trailer of the State of Bihar and also the State of Jharkhand, the potency of the members was reduced to (six) by Notification No. 7 / PSC-1013/95 (Part-3) every 8262 dated 9th October 2002, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Bihar.
